Universal Business Language (UBL)

Universal Business Language (UBL) is the external structured-business-document standard used where FORGE supports interoperable business records. FORGE tracks UBL 2.4, an OASIS Standard (20 June 2024, 93 document types) as its baseline.

OASIS Open is the standards body. UBM is FORGE-defined. UBL is the document standard. They are distinct. FORGE names a specific supported UBL version only when product output has been validated against that version.
